Pete has been working in penal institutions since 2001 when he was Artist in Residence at HMP Birmingham for 3 months as part of the Arts Council's 'Year of the Artist'. Since then he has worked regularly with juvenile and young offenders and in remand centres. He is currently working in a medium secure psychiatric unit in Birmingham - The Reaside Clinic - where over a 3 year period individuals are given musical support to help them explore their creativity and direct it positively.
