Pete was born in 1963 and grew up in the suburbs of London. He gained an organ scholarship to Corpus Christi College, Oxford, graduating with a music degree in 1984. He then spent several years working as a church musician, including a spell as Director of Music at St. Martin's in the Bullring, Birmingham from 1991-6. Since then he has worked as a freelance community musician, gaining a wealth of experience in the various settings described elsewhere on this site. He has lived in inner city Birmingham since 1991 where his three children grew up. He was a special needs foster carer from 1997 - 2007. From his classical background Pete brings a thorough understanding and appreciation of the inner workings of music to every project he undertakes, and uses this understanding to enable him to work in any genre at any level.

Pete enjoys making music in his spare time too, and has played in various bands throughout his life. He is currently in an acoustic duo Ferris playing local pubs in Birmingham, and a full folk rock outfit Elfynn. Pete is also an occasional member of The Burdock Band playing at ceidilhs and dances around the Midlands.
